Whether you have shopped with us for 10 years or 10 minutes - here are a few tidbits about us and how we started The Rhinestone Cowgirl.

We are a sister duo - Kourtney and Kristen (Kristen is 4 years older). We started helping our mom with her business in 2004/2005 (if I remember right!) which was The Rhinestone Cowgirl (hence the name 😉) We would go to market with her and help pick things for the shop which at that time was mostly home and gift and out by the Taylor Auction barn outside of town. 

Kourtney (the crafty sister!) decided to make beaded jewelry (for those of you who remember those days 💁🏼💁🏼) and we sold at stock shows and day shows. One day on a whim in 2011 we decided to open a store in Taylor, Texas. We then worked 2 jobs (Kourtney did Real Estate - and still does BTW! And I worked for our father’s masonry business with my dad and brother). Our Grandma + Mom helped work the store for a few years until we went full time in 2013 and opened our second location in Bastrop. We had two locations for 2.5 years and after we both got married in 2015 (3 months apart - poor mom and dad 😬) we decided to close Bastrop and focus on one store and online and spend more time with family. 

Now we’ve expanded our Taylor location and are surviving mom and auntie life and have a few ladies working for us who make it all possible 🤗
